What we collect

When you use NikahGateway, we collect the following:

• Your email address (used for login)
• Your WhatsApp number (provided when you submit a profile)
• Profile information: age, city, country, education, profession, family details, and religious preferences
• Your browsing behaviour on our platform (pages visited, actions taken)

All profile information is provided voluntarily by you for the purpose of matrimonial matchmaking.

How we use it

We use the information we collect to:

• Operate the matrimonial platform and keep your account running
• Show your profile to other registered members
• Allow the matchmaker to review and approve profiles before they go live
• Send you OTP login codes to sign in securely
• Send you updates about your profile status

We do not use your information for advertising. We do not build advertising profiles.

Third-party services we use

NikahGateway is powered by MuslimWed. We work with a small number of trusted services to run the platform:

• Supabase — our database and authentication provider. Your data is stored securely with them.
• Vercel — our hosting provider. They serve the website to you.
• Mixpanel — anonymous usage analytics to help us understand how people use the platform.
• Google Analytics — anonymous traffic analytics.

None of these services have access to your WhatsApp number or personal profile details beyond what is technically necessary to operate the platform.

Who sees your profile

Your profile is visible to other registered members on NikahGateway once the matchmaker has reviewed and approved it.

WhatsApp numbers are only shared after mutual approval between both families. Non-subscribers see a limited view — your gender, approximate age, city, country, sect, education, and marital status only. Full details including your WhatsApp number are only visible to subscribed members.

Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your profile at any time from the My Profile page. To request complete deletion of your account and all associated data, contact us at hi@muslimwed.com. We will process your request within 30 days.

We never sell your data

We never sell your personal information to anyone. Ever. Your data exists solely to help you find a suitable match — nothing else.

Children

NikahGateway is for users aged 18 and above only. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has registered, please contact us immediately.
